160 - LEGAL STATUS PROVISIONS
Sections:
Whenever the regulations of this title require a greater lot width or depth or size of yards, or impose other more restrictive standards than are required in or under any other statute or covenants, the requirements of this title shall govern. Whenever the provisions of any other statute or covenants require more restrictive standards than are required by this title, the provisions of such statute or covenants shall govern.

In the event any chapter, section, subsection, sentence, clause or phrase of this title shall be declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional, such adjudication shall in no manner affect the other chapters, sections, subsections, sentences, clauses or phrases of this title, which shall remain in full force and effect, as if the chapter, section, subsection, sentence, clause or phrase so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part thereof. The city council declares that it would have adopted the remaining parts of the ordinance codified in this title if it had known that such part or parts thereof would be declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional.

All resolutions and parts of ordinances in conflict with this title are repealed.

Notwithstanding anything to the contrary herein, this title shall not in any way prejudice or affect any pending application for rezoning before the planning commission of the city or the mayor and city council.

Nothing in this title shall be considered to approve or give legality to any nonconforming use which has been discontinued more than six months within the city.

As of the effective date of the ordinance codified in this title, the revised zoning map of the city is formally adopted.

The ordinance codified in this title shall take effect; and shall be in force from and after the date of its adoption, the public welfare demanding it.
