Existing Buildings and Premises

§ 365-4 Continuation permitted; restrictions on change.

Any use existing in any building at the time of the passage of this chapter and not conforming to the regulations of the use district in which it is maintained may be continued therein. Also, such nonconforming use may be changed to another use which is allowed in the district to which the existing nonconforming use belongs, provided that it is no more harmful in character.

§ 365-5 Unlawful uses not affected.

Nothing herein contained shall be deemed to affect any existing use of a building at the time of the adoption of this chapter and not conforming to the regulations of the district in which it is maintained.

§ 365-6 Reversion to nonconforming use.

No nonconforming use, if changed to conforming use, shall hereafter be changed to a nonconforming use.

§ 365-7 Garage required with new and renovated residences; garage conversion.

A. 
Any new residential construction or renovation of existing residential structures in excess of 50% of the size of said dwelling must contain a garage (two-car) on premises.
B. 
Any garage (existing) conversion to residential, accessory, or storage use shall require a hearing before the Village Board of Appeals.
