The following standards pertaining to manufactured homes are established to ensure the health and safety of community members and to maintain the visual and community character of residential neighborhoods.
All manufactured homes to be occupied within the city of Biggs, with the exception of such uses as described in Chapter 14.140 BMC (Temporary Occupancy of Manufactured Homes and Recreational Vehicles) shall be installed on permanent foundations subject to the following:
A building permit shall be obtained from the city of Biggs or its authorized agent (Butte County building division) for installation of a permanent foundation system for a manufactured home.
Pursuant to Government Code Section 65852.4, no manufactured home shall be installed within the city of Biggs if the manufacture date of the home is greater than 10 years prior to the date of application for building permit for a permanent foundation.
All other codes, standards and provisions of this title which apply to residential development shall likewise apply to the permanent installation of a manufactured home.
