After receiving the recommendation of the Historical Commission, the Board of Supervisors shall consider the proposal to add or remove a building, structure, or site from the Inventory of Historic Resources at a public meeting. At least 30 days prior to the public meeting, the Board shall send written notice to the owner(s) of the building, structure, or site proposed to be added or removed from the Historic Inventory by regular and certified return receipt requested mail. The Board shall consider oral testimony and/or documentary evidence regarding the proposal, as well as the recommendation from the Historical Commission at the public meeting, which may be continued from time to time. The Board shall notify the owner(s) of the building, structure, or site proposed to be added or removed from the Historic Inventory of the Board's decision which must be made by vote of a majority of the Board at a public meeting.
