The Breitung Township Planning Commission is the Planning Commission for Charter Township of Breitung, Dickinson County, Michigan under the Michigan Planning Enabling Act, Public Act No. 33 of the Public Acts of 2008. Further, the township planning commission has assumed the duties of the zoning commission prescribed in Section 301, of the Michigan Zoning Enabling Act, Public Act 110 of 2006, as amended.

Only the township board may amend this chapter. Proposals for amendments or changes may be initiated by the township board on its own motion, by the planning commission, by an individual, or by any interested entity in accordance with sections 150.290 through 150.295, amendments and rezoning.
