OFF-STREET PARKING

REQUIREMENTS

§ 153.255 OFF-STREET PARKING REQUIREMENTS.

   At the time of erection of a structure or building, or at the time of enlargement, or change in use of a structure, building, or land, off-street parking spaces shall be provided and maintained for all uses as follows:

1 space for each 6 students or 1 space for each 6 seats in the auditorium, whichever is greater
Hospitals, nursing homes, and sanitariums
1 space for each 2 beds
Hotel and motel
1 space per guest room
Manufacturing, wholesale, warehouses, and industrial
1 space for each 3 employees on the maximum working shift
Offices
1 space for each 400 square feet of floor area
Places of public assembly (auditorium) such as churches, theaters, community buildings, and the like
1 space for each 4 seats
Retail sales and service uses, such as stores, eating establishments, clinics, taverns, banks, drive-ins, and the like
1 space per 250 square feet of gross floor area (none required in CBD Commercial Business District)
Schools, elementary or junior
1 space per classroom or 1 space for each 6 seats in the auditorium, whichever is greater

§ 153.256 INTERPRETATION.

   (A)   In the case of any building, structure, or land, the use of which is not specifically mentioned herein, the provisions for a use which is so mentioned and to which the use is similar, shall apply.
   (B)   In the event several uses occupy a single building or parcel of land, the total requirement for off-street parking shall be the sum of the requirements of the several uses separately.
