The provisions of this chapter are severable. If any article, section, subsection or provision of this chapter shall be invalid, such invalidity shall apply only to the article, section, subsection or provision adjudged invalid, and the rest of this chapter shall remain valid and effective.

The adoption of this chapter shall not affect or impair any act done, offense committed, or right incurred or acquired, or liability, penalty, forfeiture or punishment incurred prior to the time this chapter takes effect under the chapter relative to use districts in the Village.

This chapter shall take effect and be in force from and immediately after its passage, publication of notice of adoption thereof and posting, as prescribed by law.
