Roof-mounted solar energy systems are permitted in all zoning districts, provided that:

(1)

The roof-mounted solar energy system is mounted on a properly zoned principal or accessory building;

(2)

The power generated is primarily being used on the same zoned lot as the roof-mounted solar energy system; and

(3)

The roof-mounted solar energy system adheres to all other applicable zoning requirements, building codes, electric codes, ordinances, and statutes.
