Buildings shall only be erected, converted, enlarged, reconstructed or structurally altered, and land shall only be used, for a purpose permitted in the district in which the building or land is located.

   The density and yard requirements of this Zoning Code are minimum regulations for each and every building existing at the effective date of this Zoning Code (Ordinance 1775, passed October 22, 1973) and for any building hereafter erected or structurally altered. Land required for yards or other open spaces about an existing building or any building hereafter erected or structurally altered shall not be considered a yard or lot area for more than one building.

   Every building hereafter erected or structurally altered shall be located on a lot and in no case shall there be more than one main building on a lot except as otherwise provided in this Zoning Code.

   Buildings shall only be erected or structurally altered to the extent specifically provided herein in conformity with the off-street parking and loading requirements of Chapter 1268.

   Cooperatives, condominiums and all other forms of property ownership do not affect the provisions of this Zoning Code and all requirements shall be observed as though the property were under single ownership.

   All inhabited mobile homes and travel trailers shall be located in a mobile home park or travel trailer court that has received a conditional use permit as required by Section 1252.12. No mobile home or travel trailer outside an approved mobile home park or travel trailer court shall be connected to utilities except those mobile homes or travel trailers being offered for sale and not inhabited.
