- ESTABLISHMENT OF DISTRICTS
For the purpose of this ordinance, the Town of Falkville is hereby divided into the types of districts designated as follows:
The boundaries of the above districts are hereby established as shown on the zoning map. Unless otherwise shown on the said zoning map, the boundaries of districts are lot lines, the centerlines of streets or alleys or such lines extended, railroad right-of-way lines or the corporate limit lines as existed at the time of enactment of this ordinance or any subsequent rearrangement of the corporate limit lines. Where uncertainty exists with respect to the boundaries of any of the aforesaid districts as shown on the zoning map, the following rules apply:
3.1.1
Where district boundaries are so indicated that they are approximately parallel to the centerlines of streets, highways or railroads, or rights-of-way of same, such district boundaries shall be construed as being parallel thereto and at such distance therefrom as indicated on the zoning map. If no distance is given, such dimension shall be determined by the use of the scale shown on said zoning map.
3.1.2
Where a district boundary line divides a lot in single ownership the district requirements for the largest portion of such lot shall be deemed to apply to the whole thereof, provided that such extensions shall not include any part of such a lot more than 35 feet beyond the district boundary line.
