The purpose of the public facilities PF zone is to designate those areas within the city that are owned by a political subdivision of the state. The purpose of these facilities is to provide services or land uses that benefit the citizens of Garland City. (Ord. 16-03, 4-27-2016)

The following uses are permitted in the PF zone, and must adhere to title 5, chapter 6, "Nuisances", of this code, and other uses that the planning and zoning commission interprets as similar in purpose or use:

Accessory buildings and outdoor storage.

Animal shelter.

Cemetery.

Communication towers and antennas.

Educational activities.

Libraries.

Office space.

Public and special events.

Public facilities.

Public safety related activities (including fire and police stations).

Public services.

Public trails and parks.

Recycling and green waste collection areas.

Schools.

Stormwater drainage and basins.

Utilities, transmission, pad, facility, etc.

Warehouse.
