The affordable housing standards of N.J.S.A. 52:27D-301 et seq. as interpreted by the Council on Affordable Housing are a requirement of this district. Specifically, 12.5% of all units developed in this district shall provide housing opportunities for moderate-income families. A moderate-income family is defined as a family where the income is between 50% and 80% of the mean income for the region. In addition, 12.5% of all units shall be available to low-income families, where their income is less than 50% of the mean income for the region. All affordable units will be deed-restricted for resale only for low- and moderate-income families pursuant to COAH regulations.
