PART 2

02. - CONSISTENCY WITH THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN

This part implements the land-use policies of the comprehensive plan and describes the relationship between the various zoning districts and the comprehensive plan.


2.02.01. - Adoption of the future land use map.

The city commission hereby adopts the future land use map as prescribed by the future land use element of the comprehensive plan.

2.02.02. - Legal effect and interpretation of future land use map.

The future land use map (FLUM) is intended to be a visual representation of land use policies contained in the future land use element of the Gretna Comprehensive Plan. The FLUM in combination with the future land use element and other goals, objectives and policies of the comprehensive plan serve to define the land uses, intensity of use and general development standards that apply to land within the City of Gretna. All development within the City of Gretna is required to be consistent with the comprehensive plan and with the future land use map.

2.02.03. - Land use category/zoning district consistency matrix.

Table 2.01 shows the relationship between the comprehensive plan and the zoning districts established in this article.
