Separability, repeal of existing ordinance, and effective date.
(A)
Separability. Should any section or provision of this ordinance be declared by the court to be unconstitutional or invalid, such decision shall not affect the validity of the ordinance as a whole, or of any part thereof other than the part so declared to be unconstitutional or invalid, and the remainder of this ordinance shall remain in full force and effect.
(B)
Repeal of existing zoning ordinance. The zoning ordinance of the City of Gulfport [Ordinance No. 1434] adopted the 3rd day of May, 1977, and all amendments thereto are hereby repealed upon the effective date of this ordinance.
(C)
Effective date. That for good cause shown, and the public interest requiring it, this ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage but shall nevertheless be published as required by law and recorded in the city ordinance book.
