ARTICLE Fifteen

ENFORCEMENT AND REVIEW

Sec. 15.1.- Complaints regarding violations.

Whenever the land development regulation administrator receives a written, signed complaint alleging a violation of these land development regulations, he or she shall investigate the complaint, take whatever action is warranted, and inform the complainant in writing what actions have been or will be taken.

Sec. 15.2. - Persons liable.

The owner, tenant, or occupant of any building or land or part thereof and any architect, builder, contractor, agent, or other person who participates in, assists, directs, creates, or maintains any situation that is contrary to the requirements of these land development regulations may be held responsible for the violation and suffer the penalties and be subject to the remedies herein provided.

Sec. 15.3. - Procedures upon discovery of violations.

If any provisions of these land development regulations are being violated the provisions set forth in City of Hawthorne Ordinance [No.] 96-2 and Ordinance [No.] 97-1 shall be complied with for the purposes of this article.

Sec. 15.4. - Penalties and remedies for violations.

Any person, firm or corporation who violates these land development regulations, or fails to comply with any of its requirements, shall upon conviction, be penalized as provided for in the City of Hawthorne City Charter, as amended, and, in addition, shall pay all costs and expenses involved in the case. Each day such violation continues shall be a separate offense.
