SUPPLEMENTARY FLOODPLAIN MANAGEMENT REGULATIONS
Designs for meeting this requirement must either be certified by a registered professional engineer or architect or meet or exceed the following minimum criteria: |
Any such structure, or part thereof, that will be built below the one-hundred-year flood elevation shall be designed and constructed in accordance with the standards for completely dry floodproofing contained in the publication "Flood-Proofing Regulations" (U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, June 1972, as amended March 1992), or with some other equivalent watertight standard. |
All plans and specifications for floodproofing shall be accompanied by a statement certified by a registered professional engineer or architect which states that the proposed design and methods of construction are in conformance with the standards contained in § 27-603 of this chapter. |
