As used in this Chapter, the following words shall have the meanings set out herein:
ALLEYA minor way, dedicated to public use, when it is used primarily for vehicular service access to the back or side of properties otherwise abutting on a street.
PARKING LOT DRIVEWAY AISLEThe aisle or driveway between designated parking spaces. The minimum width for a driveway aisle between angled parking spaces shall be seventeen (17) feet. The minimum width for a driveway aisle between parallel parking spaces shall be twelve (12) feet for one-way traffic and twenty-four (24) feet for two-way traffic. The minimum width for a driveway aisle between straight-in parking spaces shall be twenty-four (24) feet.
PARKING SPACEThe space per car herein shall be one hundred eighty (180) square feet minimum.
PARKING SPACE, ANGLEDThe minimum dimension for an angled parking space shall be ten (10) feet wide by eighteen (18) feet long.
PARKING SPACE, BUSBus spaces must be a minimum of ten (10) feet in width and forty-five (45) feet in length, shall be unobstructed from the surface up to a height of at least fifteen (15) feet, shall be so located to insure the furthest possible distance from any adjacent residential area and shall be clearly marked.
PARKING SPACE, PARALLELThe minimum dimension for a parallel parking space shall be nine (9) feet wide by twenty-three (23) feet long.
STREETA strip of land, including the entire right-of-way, intended primarily as a means of vehicular and pedestrian travel which may also be used to provide space for sewers, public utilities, trees and sidewalks.
