ARTICLE IV

OFF-STREET PARKING REQUIREMENTS

Sec. 48-431.- Minimum parking space requirements.

(a)

Off-street parking spaces shall be provided as follows:

(1)

Two paved spaces shall be provided for each dwelling unit.

(2)

One paved space shall be provided for each 200 square feet of floor area devoted to office use or commercial businesses.

(3)

Two paved spaces shall be provided for every three employees on the premises on the maximum work shift for manufacturing plants, commercial bakeries, creameries, bottling plants, warehouses, lumber yards, and research and testing laboratories.

(b)

In all districts, the off-street parking shall be provided on the same lot on which the principal structure is located or on a lot which is not more than 100 feet from the lot on which the main building is located.

Sec. 48-432. - Specific use requirements.

The indicated number of paved off-street parking spaces shall be provided for each of the following uses:

Hotel, motel, dormitory, homes for convalescent or aged One paved space for each sleeping room or suite
Churches, assembly halls, auditoriums, theaters, cafes, restaurants, mortuaries, taverns, or night clubs One paved space for each five permanent seats
Wholesale sales, offices, frozen food lockers, furniture stores, automobile service garages, machinery and automobile sales, public buildings One paved space for each 800 square feet of floor space
Bowling alleys Three paved spaces for each alley
