The City of Hughson recognizes and supports the right to farm agricultural lands in a manner consistent with accepted customs and standards. Residents of property in the City should be prepared to accept the inconveniences or discomforts associated with agricultural operations, including but not limited to noise, odors, flies, fumes, dust, the operation of machinery of any kind during any 24-hour period (including aircraft), the storage and disposal of manure, and the application by spraying or otherwise of chemical fertilizers, soil amendments, herbicides and pesticides. The City of Hughson has determined that inconveniences or discomforts associated with such agricultural operations shall not be considered to be a nuisance if such operations are consistent with accepted customs and standards. All persons purchasing lots within the boundaries of this approved map should be prepared to accept the inconveniences associated with agricultural operations, such as noise, odors, flies, dust or fumes. You are hereby notified that the property you are purchasing is in or near an industrial area. You may be subject to inconvenience or discomfort from lawful industrial operations. Discomfort and inconvenience may include, but are not limited to, noise, odors, fumes, dust, smoke, burning, vibrations, and/or the operations of machinery during any 24 hour period. One or more of the inconveniences described may occur as a result of industrial operations which are in compliance with existing laws and regulations and accepted customs and standards. If you live near an industrial area, you should be prepared to accept such inconveniences or discomfort as a normal and necessary aspect of living in an area with an active industrial sector. |
