It is the intention of the Sauk County Board of Supervisors that the provisions of this chapter are severable as follows:

(1)

Judgment of ordinance provisions. If any court of competent jurisdiction shall adjudge any provision of this chapter to be invalid, the judgment shall not affect any other provision of this chapter not specifically included in the judgment.

(2)

Judgment of ordinance application. If any court of competent jurisdiction shall adjudge invalid the application of any portion of this chapter to a particular property, building, use, or structure, the judgment shall not affect the application of the provision to any other property, building, use, or structure not specifically included in the judgment.

(3)

Judgment of permit. If any court of competent jurisdiction shall adjudge invalid any requirement or limitation contained in a permit given under this chapter, it shall be presumed that the permit would not have been granted without the requirement or limitation, and therefore, the permit shall also be invalid.
