Sign type permitted. On-premises ground signs shall be the only type of sign that may incorporate electronic message components to the sign's copy area.

Change interval. The electronic message shall not be changed more than once every six seconds.

Malfunction. In the event of a malfunction in any portion of the electronic message sign, the sign shall be turned off upon notification until the malfunction is corrected.
