Amendments

§ 145-34 Power to amend.

The Board of Trustees may from time to time, either on its own motion or on petition, after public notice and hearing, amend, supplement, change, modify or repeal the regulations, restrictions, boundaries and the Building Zone Map herein established pursuant to the provisions of the Village Law of the State of New York, as amended from time to time.

§ 145-35 Supersession of Village Law.

A. 
The provisions of Village Law § 7-706, Subdivision 5, are hereby amended in the Village of Laurel Hollow to read as follows: "Every zoning law and every amendment thereto (excluding any map incorporated therein) adopted pursuant to the provisions of the Village Law shall be entered in the minutes of the Village Board of Trustees. There shall be no requirement that a copy, summary or abstract of such law be published or posted as a condition of such law becoming effective."
B. 
The provisions of Village Law § 7-708 are hereby amended in the Village of Laurel Hollow to read as follows: "Such regulations and boundaries may from time to time be amended. An amendment shall be effected by a simple majority vote of the Board of Trustees."
C. 
It is the intention of the village in enacting this section to exercise its authority pursuant to the Municipal Home Rule Law to supersede or amend provisions of the Village Law.
