Concurrently with any public hearing concerning the annexation of any land as required by law, the City Council shall hold a public hearing to zone the land with an appropriate designation in conformance with the reasonable use of the property. Notice and hearing procedures shall be given in like manner as the notice and hearing requirements governing annexations.
