(197) Retail Sales Establishment: A business offering consumer goods directly for sale to the end consumer, where such goods are available for immediate purchase and consumption or removal from the premises by the consumer. The term retail sales establishment includes, but is not limited to uses such as: retail food sales establishments, providing food or beverages for consumption off the premises, such as; supermarkets, grocery stores, bakeries, candy stores, butcher, delicatessen, catering, convenience store, or similar establishment; food sales establishments providing for the sale of foods or beverages for consumption on or off the premises, including restaurants with or without drive through facilities, bars, taverns, nightclubs, or similar establishments; specialty retail sales establishments, providing one type or line of merchandise such as: apparel stores, jewelry stores, book stores, drug stores, shoe stores, stationery stores, antique stores, and similar establishments; household retail sales establishments, providing operations that sell goods for furnishing or decorating housing units such as furniture store, electronic store, appliance store, or similar establishment; and general merchandise retail sales establishments, such as department stores, discount stores, farm stores, office supply stores, and home and building improvement stores; and bulk merchandise retail sales establishments, providing high volume and various products in a warehouse setting to the public.
