ARTICLE I

GENERAL PROVISIONS

§ 7A-1. SHORT TITLE.

   This Chapter 7A shall be known and may be cited as the Zoning Code of the Town of Melbourne Beach, Florida.

§ 7A-2. INTERPRETATION; APPLICATION.

   In the interpretation and application, the provisions of this chapter shall be held to be the minimum requirements adopted for the protection of the public health, safety, morals, and general welfare. Whenever the requirements of this chapter are at variance with the requirements of any other lawfully adopted rules, regulations, or ordinances, the most restrictive or those imposing the higher standards, shall govern.

§ 7A-3. DEFINITIONS.

   For the purpose of this chapter the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
   BUILDING. Any structure constructed or used for residence, business, industry or other private or public purposes, including structures that are accessory to such uses. BUILDING shall include, but not be limited to, single-family dwellings, sheds, garages, carports, store rooms and other stationary structures.
