No major recreational equipment shall be parked or stored on any lot in a residential district except in an enclosed building or on a pad made of asphalt, concrete, paving block, or a pervious paving material located behind the dwelling unit; provided, however, that such equipment may be parked anywhere on the lot for a period not to exceed 48 hours during loading and unloading. On a corner lot major recreational equipment may be parked or stored on a pad made of asphalt, concrete, paving block, or pervious paving material adjacent to the dwelling unit. No such major recreational equipment shall be used for living, sleeping, or housekeeping purposes when parked or stored. For the purposes of this section, major recreational equipment shall include, but shall not be limited to, boats and boat trailers, travel trailers, pickup campers or coaches (designed to be mounted on vehicles), recreational vehicles, motorized dwellings, tent trailers, utility trailers, and cases or boxes used for transporting recreational equipment whether occupied by such equipment or not.
