In interpreting and applying the provisions of this ordinance, the requirements shall be held to be the minimum requirements for the promotion of the public safety, health, convenience, comfort, morals, prosperity and general welfare. This ordinance is not intended to interfere with, abrogate, or annul any easement, covenants or other agreements between parties. This ordinance shall control where it imposes a greater restriction on the use of buildings or land or upon the height of buildings or requires larger open spaces or larger lot areas than are required by other ordinances or agreements.
