All chapters or parts of chapters inconsistent herewith or in conflict with any of the specific terms enacted hereby, to the extent of said inconsistencies or conflicts, are hereby specifically repealed; provided, however, that if this chapter is held to be ineffective or invalid by reason of some irregularity in or impediment to its passage, this repealer shall also be ineffective as aforesaid. Then and in that event, the former Zoning Code, Ordinance No. 796, would necessarily remain in full force and effect.
