Sec. 20

Interpretation, purpose and conflict.

A.

This ordinance represents the minimum requirements in the promotion of the public safety, health, convenience, comfort, morals, prosperity and general welfare. It is not intended by this ordinance to interfere with or alleviate or annul any ordinance, rules, regulations, or permits previously adopted or issued and not in conflict with any of the provisions of this ordinance or which shall be adopted or issued pursuant to law relating to the use of buildings or premises and likewise not in conflict with this ordinance; nor is it intended by this ordinance to interfere with or alleviate or annul any easement, covenants or other agreement between parties, except that, if this ordinance imposes a greater restriction, this ordinance shall control.

B.

Nothing herein shall be interpreted to interfere with, supersede, alter or cancel the existing deed restriction for any subdivision located within the City of Oak Ridge North, except that should this ordinance impose a greater restriction, then this ordinance shall control.
