CHAPTER 1339
"P-1" Public Park and Recreation District
1339.01 REGULATIONS ESTABLISHED.
The regulations set forth in this chapter, or set forth elsewhere in this Zoning Ordinance, when referred to in this chapter, are the district regulations in the “PI” Public Park and Recreation District. (Ord. 430 AC. Passed 11-29-65.)
1339.02 PERMITTED USES.
(a) A building or premises shall be used only for the following purposes:
(1) Public parks, playgrounds and athletic fields.
(2) Public cemeteries.
(3) Public educational institutions.
(4) Libraries, museums and art galleries.
(5) Golf courses, except miniature courses or practice driving tees operated for commercial purposes.
(6) Buildings or facilities erected for public use by nonprofit corporations or associations.
(7) Noncommercial parking lots.
(8) Public streets, alleys and ways.
(9) Activities not detrimental to the use of public grounds such as, but not limited to, the granting of a refreshment concession at a municipal swimming pool.
(10) Such other uses as the Planning Commission may recommend and Council may deem to be similar to those listed above and within the generally accepted definition of public use.

1339.03 CHANGE OF USE; DEVELOPMENT PLAN.
(a) Within the "P-1" District no use, whether principal or accessory, shall be instituted or changed, and no building or structure, or part thereof, shall be erected, altered or used, or land or water used: nor shall any building permit or certificate of occupancy be issued therefor unless and until such use and a development plan for such building, structure or use shall have been presented to and approved by the Planning Commission.
(b) In the event any public or semipublic properties within the "PI" District are disposed of by sale or subdivided in any manner, subsequent use may not be more intensive in use than its prior use. (Ord. 430 AC. Passed 11-29-65.)
1339.04 PARKING REGULATIONS.
1339.05 HEIGHT REGULATION.
No building shall exceed two and one-half stories, nor shall it exceed thirty-five feet in height.
