The catch heads appearing in connection with the Sections of this Code are inserted simply for convenience to serve the purpose of an index. The introductory statements found at the beginning of each zoning district are to serve as general references only. The illustrative examples of zoning terms found within this code are inserted simply for convenience and clarification. The catch heads, introductory statements and illustrative examples of zoning terms shall be wholly disregarded by any person, officer, court or other tribunal in construing the terms and provisions of this code.

If any Section, Subsection, sentence, clause or phrase of this code is for any reason held to be unconstitutional or invalid, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this code.

Should any provision of this code be interpreted to conflict with any other provision of this code or any other ordinance of the City of Peculiar or with any applicable State or Federal Statute, the more restrictive regulation shall apply.

This code shall in no manner affect pending actions, either civil or criminal, founded on or growing out of any ordinance or part of any ordinance hereby repealed; this code shall in no manner affect rights or causes of action, either civil or criminal, not in suit that may have already accrued or grown out of any ordinance or part of any ordinance hereby repealed.

This code shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and publication as provided by law.
