CHAPTER 1121
Enactment and Purpose
1121.01 LONG TITLE.
An ordinance dividing the City of Port Clinton, Ottawa County, Ohio, into districts, establishing limitations of height, bulk, location of structures, specifying uses of land and buildings, fixing setback lines, dimensions of yards and other spaces in each of such districts, and providing for the administration and enforcement of the same.

1121.02 ENACTMENT CLAUSE.
Whereas the Council of the City of Port Clinton, in order: to promote the public health, safety, morals, comfort and general welfare; to conserve and protect property and property values; to secure the most appropriate use of the land; and to facilitate adequate but economical provision of public improvements; all in conformance with the Comprehensive Plan, now, therefore, be it ordained by the Council of the City of Port Clinton, Ohio that.

1121.03 SHORT TITLE.
This Zoning Ordinance (Ordinance 18-90, passed June 26, 1990) shall be known as the "Zoning Ordinance of Port Clinton, Ohio," and is referred to in this Part Eleven - Planning and Zoning Code as "this Zoning Ordinance" or "this Ordinance."

This Zoning Ordinance is authorized by the Ohio Revised Code.

1121.05 GENERAL PURPOSE.
This Zoning Ordinance is enacted for the purpose of promoting the public health, peace, safety, morals, comfort, convenience and general welfare; to conserve and protect property and property values; to secure the most appropriate use of land; to facilitate adequate and economical provisions for public improvements; to lessen danger and congestion of transportation facilities; and to avoid an undue concentration of population.
