CHAPTER INTERPRETATION
The zoning board of adjustments is authorized to hear and decide appeals where it is alleged there is error in any order, requirement, decision or determination made by an administrative official in the enforcement of this chapter or any provisions adopted pursuant thereto.

A complete application for an appeal for chapter or map interpretation accompanied by a $100.00 application fee shall be filed with the board.

Upon receipt of the completed application form and the appropriate fee, the secretary shall immediately place the request upon the calendar for hearing and shall give proper notice in accordance with the provisions of section 42-736.

(a)
The interpretation should expand beyond the specific case being considered and thought of as having general, citywide applicability.
(b)
Interpretation does not convey the right of legislation. The intent of the chapter must be upheld. Interpretations shall serve to clarify the intent of the chapter and map, but in no case shall result in revision of the terms of the chapter or intent of the chapter and zoning map.
