On or after the effective date of this ordinance, March 12, 2002, no used motor vehicle dealerships may be located any closer than 2,000 feet to any other used motor vehicle dealership. The distance between such dealerships shall be computed by measuring the lot line closest to an existing used motor vehicle dealership to the lot line of the proposed used motor vehicle dealership, unless a certified and approved site plan shows a clearly defined area of use, in which case the area defined on the certified and approved site plan may be used to determine the distance between uses. 14.2.13. 
An Alternating Current (AC) Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Station and Electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE) proposed as an accessory to a new or existing property and used solely for personal use and not as a means of income, is a permitted use in all zones and requires permitting by the Raymond Building Inspector. An (AC) Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Station and EVSE proposed in any commercial, industrial, retail use, for profit, and/ or a Direct Current (DC) Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Station and EVSE requires Planning Board approval but is prohibited in the Groundwater Conservation Overlay District or in any floodplain. Electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE), as defined in the National Electrical Code, shall obtain any required building permits, electrical permits or other applicable permits prior to their location, construction, installation, or operation. The number of charging stations shall not exceed the number of parking spaces for the lot. No EV Charging Station shall preempt handicapped parking spaces. Annual inspections of all charging equipment used as commercial, industrial, retail use, for profit, and/or a Direct Current (DC) Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Station and EVSE are required. 14.2.14.1. 
In the event that a proposed use is not specifically identified in the tables, the Planner, and/or Building Inspector may require a non-binding design review or conceptual design review with the Planning Board to select the listed use which most closely resembles the proposed use in impact and intensity. 14.2.14.2. 
In cases where no listed use is reasonably construed to closely resemble the proposed use, the Planning Board may determine that there is no listing for the proposed use and that therefore it is not permitted in any zoning district. (03/2025)
