WIND TURBINE: A wind energy conversion system which converts wind energy into electricity through the use of a wind turbine generator, and includes the turbine, blade, tower, base, and pad transformer, if any, and any and all other related equipment. (Ord. 3489, 10-18-2010)

The construction and/or operation of wind turbines is prohibited within the corporate boundaries of the city of Taylorville, Christian County, Illinois. This prohibition applies to all real estate within the city of Taylorville corporate limits regardless of zoning district classification. (Ord. 3489, 10-18-2010)
