CHAPTER 1

FLOOD CONTROL

Sec. 9-1.01. Fees.

   The City hereby consents to the imposition and collection of flood control fees as a condition of development of land within the corporate boundaries of the City within Zone Three of the Ventura County Flood Control District pursuant to the provisions of Ventura County Flood Control District Ordinance No. FC-14, as amended by Ordinance No. FC-16, and Section 7.1 of the Ventura County Flood Control Act.

Sec. 9-1.02. Building permits: Applications.

   When land is to be developed (as such term is defined in Ventura County Flood Control District Ordinance No. FC-14) on less than the whole of a lot or parcel of record containing in excess of one acre, the building permit applicant shall furnish, and the building permit application shall contain, a legal description of the part of the lot or parcel of land of record which is to be developed and to which fees are to be applied. The provisions of this section shall not apply to the construction of a single-family building, structure, or improvement on a single lot or parcel of record.

Sec. 9-1.03. Building permits: Issuance: Conditions.

   No building permit shall be issued until all applicable fees for flood control facilities prescribed by the Ventura County Flood Control District have been paid.
