The Suburban Residential District is established to provide for new single-family residential development within the city at densities typical of modern suburban environments. The SR District is to be utilized in areas on the periphery of the city that are generally vacant at the time of development, but are serviceable by public water and sewer. It is the intent of the SR District to discourage large concentrations of intensive development where that density would be inconsistent with the existing character of the area.
(A) Accessory buildings or structures customarily associated with single-family residential use, including detached garages or carports, tool or garden sheds, playhouses, swimming pools and tennis courts and similar facilities for primary use by occupants of the principal use of the property on which the facility is located, subject to the requirements of this chapter.
(B) Home occupations, subject to the requirements of § 153.391.
(B) Minimum lot width: for each principal use, there shall be lot width of not less than 80 feet with frontage on a publicly dedicated, improved street or highway. Minimum lot width on curved street shall be 50 feet.
(C) Minimum front yard depth: 30 feet.
(D) Minimum side yard width: 12 feet.
(E) Minimum rear yard depth: 30 feet.
(F) Maximum percent of lot coverage: 30%.
(G) Maximum building height: 35 feet.
(H) Minimum ground floor area: 850 square feet.
