To retain the character of the Township as it now stands while adjusting to the exigencies of the changing times.

To preserve the land use policy as indicated by zoning while eliminating conflicting land uses, strip commercialization and problem areas.

To consider the establishment of a capital improvement program and budget in order to provide funds for established goals and objectives.

To limit acreage requirements in the low-density areas north of Skippack Pike with a view towards establishing a rural-agricultural-residential environment.

To rezone to stop strip commercialization along Route 202 south of Skippack Pike, with all commercial uses in shopping centers.

To consider the area between the turnpike and the Philadelphia Electric lines as a possible location for nonresidential development.

To consider areas suitable for additional industrial land.

To prohibit development of lands which are contemplated for foreseeable future use for roads, schools, mass transit, parks and playgrounds and other public uses.

To consider the establishment of a "Towne Center" or municipal center which would include the existing buildings of the Township but would add to them an attractive library, a fire station, an art gallery and such other imaginative uses as to make a focal point of interest in the Township for the community.

To consider the establishment of commercial-industrial-residential uses in such proportion as to keep the total of all taxes at approximately the current level.

To consider an immediate development of recreational facilities in the southwest section of the Township.

To further study open space areas with a view towards reserving portions of the land, even considering Township purchases, both to limit massive residential developments and, more importantly, to assure that the population of the Township will have the open spaces and pure air that might become a rare commodity in the future if not controlled at the present time.
