ARTICLE XVI

CB, COMMERCIAL BUSINESS DISTRICT

Section 1601.- Purpose and intent.

The Commercial Business District is intended to provide for businesses which cater to the commercial business needs of the town and surrounding area. These businesses serve retail establishments and are central distribution points for commercial markets.

Section 1602. - Permitted uses.

Any use permitted in the HB, Highway Business District, as enumerated in Section 1402 (not subject to conditional use approval) of these regulations; but not subject to the same restrictions except as indicated in Article XVI.

Animal hospital or veterinary clinic

Automobile parts sales store

4.

Automobile sales and storage

5.

Automobile washing establishments

6.

Bowling alleys

7.

Bus terminals

8.

Business and outdoor advertising signs

9.

Dry cleaning and laundry establishments

10.

Electrical repair shops

11.

Fabricating shops and small size such as wood workshops, cabinet shops, and upholstery shops

12.

Farm equipment sales and service

13.

Funeral homes and mortuaries

14.

Gasoline service stations

15.

Greenhouses or horticultural nurseries

16.

Motels, hotels and public lodging

17.

Public and semi-public recreational facilities

18.

Repair garages

19.

Accessory uses and structures, normally incidental to permitted principal uses.

Section 1603. - Area, height, density and placement requirements.

As specified in Article XXII.

Section 1604. - Uses permitted by special use permit (SUP).

The following uses may be permitted as a Special Use provided the applicant for such use is granted a Special Use Permit by the Mayor and Council after a public hearing:

(a)

Such other uses as the Town Council determines are consistent and compatible with the uses stated in Section 1602 of this ordinance and that are consistent and compatible with and promote the goals and purposes set forth in Section 1601 of this ordinance.
