This Ordinance may be known and may be cited and referenced as the Zoning Ordinance of the Village of Arlington, Nebraska.

This Ordinance has been made in accordance with the Arlington Comprehensive Development Plan to promote the health, safety, and general welfare of the community; to ease congestion in the streets; to provide safety from fire and other hazards; to secure adequate light and air; to facilitate the proper distribution of population, the restructuring of land classifications and land development to support provisions for sufficient transportation, water flows, water supply, drainage, sanitation, recreation. and other public requirements; to protect property against depreciation and decay; and to secure the economy in governmental expenditures.
