ARTICLE XI
Zoning Districts
§ 163-52 Enumeration of zoning districts.

In order to carry out the purposes and provisions of this chapter, the City of Atlantic City is hereby divided into the following districts:
B.
Multiple-family residential districts.
(1)
RM-1 Multifamily Walk-Up Apartment Residential District.
(2)
RM-2 Multifamily Low-Rise Apartment Residential District.
(3)
RM-3 Multifamily Medium-Rise Apartment Residential District.
(4)
RM-4 Multifamily High-Rise Apartment Residential District.
(5)
RMC-4 Multifamily High-Rise Commercial Residential District.
D.
Commercial districts.
(1)
NC-1 Neighborhood Commercial District.
(2)
NC-2 Neighborhood Commercial District.
(3)
RS Resort Service District.
(4)
MC Marine Commercial District.
(5)
AC Area Commercial District.
(6)
CBD Central Business District.
(7)
MUR Mixed Use Recreation District

Special purpose districts.
§ 163-53 Zoning District Map; determination of district boundaries.
A.
Map incorporated. The boundaries of the zoning districts hereby established are shown on a map entitled "Atlantic City Zoning District Map." The Zoning District Map and all notations, references and other information shown thereon shall have the same force and effect as if fully set forth or described herein, and such map is hereby made part of this chapter. The Zoning District Map shall be properly attested and kept on file in the office of the Land Use Administrator.
B.
District boundaries. In the event that any uncertainty exists with respect to the intended boundaries of the various districts as shown on the Zoning District Map, the following rules shall apply:
(1)
The district boundaries are the center lines of streets, alleys, waterways and rights-of-way, unless otherwise indicated. Where designation of a boundary line on the Zoning District Map coincides with the location of a street, alley, waterway or right-of-way, the center line of such street, alley, waterway or right-of-way shall be construed to be the boundary of such district.
(2)
Where the district boundaries do not coincide with the location of streets, alleys, waterways and rights-of-way but do coincide with lot lines, such lot lines shall be construed to be the boundaries of such districts.
(3)
Where a district boundary does not coincide with the location of streets, alleys, waterways, rights-of-way or lot lines, the district boundary shall be determined by the use of the scale shown on the Zoning District Map.
(4)
When a lot held in one ownership on the effective date of this chapter is divided by a district boundary line, the entire lot shall be construed to be within the less restrictive district.
