There is adopted the official zoning map of the City of Bell, a true copy of which is attached to the ordinance codified in this section, marked "Exhibit A," and incorporated herein by this reference. All properties within the city are placed in the zones as indicated on such map. Such map shall remain on file in the office of the city clerk of the city, and all changes to such map shall be noted thereon as soon as the same become effective. The official zoning map for the city may be amended by reference to this section.

Where uncertainty exists as to boundaries of any zone shown upon the official zoning map, or any part thereof or amendment thereto, the same shall be resolved pursuant to Section 17.04.090 of this code.

Areas annexed to the city may be classified in an appropriate zone by urgency ordinance of the city council, unless the council elects to utilize the prezoning procedure, as set forth in Section 65859 of the Government Code of the State of California.

Any property which, for any reason, is not designated on the zoning map as being classified in any of the zones established by this chapter, shall be deemed to be classified in zone R-1.
