Use Regulations

1207.01 DESIGNATION OF USES.

No more than one principle building is permitted, per lot, as Single Family Dwelling unit. No building, structure or premises shall be erected, altered, or used, except for one or more of the uses designated for a district as follows by these symbols.

SYMBOLS:

P - Designated a use permitted by right.

S - Designated a conditional use, contingent upon securing the approval of the Board of Zoning Appeals in accordance with Chapter 1209.

1207.07 PROHIBITED USES.

(a) Storage or reduction of garbage, refuse, offal, or dead animals;

(b) Explosive or fireworks manufacture or storage;

(d) Chlorine, hydrochloric, nitric, picric, sulfuric or similar acid manufacture;

(e) Smelting of iron, copper or tin ores;

(f) Distillation of bones, fat rendering, glue manufacturer from raw material;

(g) Stock yards;

(h) Tanneries; and

(i) Storage of volatile oil, gasoline and/or liquid petroleum gas in excess of 500 gallons above ground.

1207.08 INTERPRETATION OF USES.

If there arises any misunderstanding with reference to the interpretation of any of the uses herein provided for, such misunderstanding will be deemed a special case, and such special cases as may arise are left to the discretion of the Board of Zoning Appeals.
