ARTICLE IX

M-G General Manufacturing District.

§ 255-67 Purpose.

The (M-G) General Manufacturing District is intended for any manufacturing or industrial operation which, on the basis of actual physical and operational characteristics, would not be detrimental to the surrounding area or to the Village as a whole by reason of noise, dirt, smoke, odor, traffic, physical appearance or other similar factors.

§ 255-68 Lot size regulations.

A. 
Minimum area: none.
B. 
Minimum width: none.

§ 255-69 Height regulations.

A. 
Maximum height: 35 feet.
B. 
The Planning Committee may approve a greater height, based upon site and construction data which the Planning Committee may require to be submitted.

§ 255-70 Yard and setback regulations.

A. 
Minimum front yard: 25 feet.
B. 
Minimum side yard: 20 feet.
C. 
Minimum rear yard: 30 feet.
D. 
Minimum water setback: 75 feet.

§ 255-71 Permitted uses.

Permitted uses in the M-G General Manufacturing District include the following:
A. 
Automotive heavy repair and upholstery.
B. 
Cleaning, pressing and dyeing establishments.
C. 
Commercial bakeries.
D. 
Commercial greenhouses.
E. 
Distributors.
F. 
Farm machinery sales and/or service.
G. 
Food locker plants.
H. 
Laboratories.
I. 
Machine shops.
J. 
Manufacture and bottling of nonalcoholic beverages.
K. 
Manufacture, fabrication, processing, packaging, and packing of:
(1) 
Confections.
(2) 
Cosmetics.
(3) 
Electrical appliances.
(4) 
Electronic devices.
(5) 
Food, except cabbage, fish and fish products, meat and meat products.
(6) 
Jewelry.
(7) 
Instruments.
(8) 
Pharmaceuticals.
(9) 
Tobacco.
(10) 
Toiletries.
L. 
Manufacture, fabrication, packing, packaging and assembly of products from:
(1) 
Furs.
(2) 
Glass.
(3) 
Leather.
(4) 
Metals.
(5) 
Paper.
(6) 
Plaster.
(7) 
Plastics.
(8) 
Textiles.
(9) 
Tobacco.
(10) 
Wood.

Printing or publishing.

Storage and sale of machinery and equipment.

Office, storage, power supply and other such uses normally incidental to the municipal use.

§ 255-72 Conditional uses.

Conditional uses in the M-G General Manufacturing District include the following:
A. 
Airport, airstrips and landing fields.
B. 
Animal hospitals or pounds.
C. 
Commercial service facilities, such as restaurants and fueling stations, if oriented towards serving the surrounding industrial uses.
D. 
Fairgrounds.
E. 
Filling over 5,000 square feet.
F. 
Governmental and cultural uses, such as:
(1) 
Community centers.
(2) 
Fire stations and police stations.
(3) 
Libraries.
(4) 
Public emergency shelters.
(5) 
Parks and playgrounds.
G. 
Grading over 5,000 square feet.
H. 
Public passenger transportation terminals, such as heliports, bus and rail depots.
I. 
Sewage disposal plants.
J. 
Work in respect to waterways.
K. 
Utilities.
L. 
Any manufacturing industry which by its nature exhibits characteristics harmful, noxious or detrimental to surrounding uses of the land.
M. 
Residential-care apartment complex (formerly assisted living facility) in accordance with the updated § 50.03, Wis. Stats., and § DHS 89, Wis. Adm. Code; to be accompanied by a program statement.
N. 
CBRF community-based residential facility in accordance with the updated § 50.03, Wis. Stats., and § DHS 83, Wis. Adm. Code; to be accompanied by a program statement.
