In their interpretation and application, the provisions of this chapter shall be held to be minimum requirements adopted for the promotion of the public health, morals, safety and general welfare.

This chapter shall not interfere with, abrogate, annul or repeal any ordinance or any rule, regulation or permit previously or hereafter enacted, adopted or issued pursuant to law, provided that, where this chapter imposes greater restrictions, its provisions shall control.

Violation of this chapter is punishable by a fine not to exceed $250 for each violation thereof. Each week (seven days) that the violation continues shall be deemed to be a separate and distinct violation. The Board of Trustees may enforce obedience to this chapter by injunction or issuance of appearance tickets as deemed appropriate. Penalties for violations of Article V are as set forth in § 119-36.1.
