Center Point City Zoning Code

ARTICLE 1.

PREAMBLE AND ENACTMENT CLAUSE

WHEREAS, pursuant to Code of Ala. 1975, § 11-52-70, each municipal corporation in the State of Alabama may divide the territory within its corporate limits and to business, industrial and residential zones or districts and may provide the kind, character and use of structures and improvements that may be erected or made within the several zones or districts established thereby and may from time to time rearrange or alter the boundaries of such zones or districts and are further empowered to adopt such ordinances as are necessary to carry into effect and make effective the provisions of said title; and

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Center Point deems it necessary, for the purpose of promoting the public health, safety, convenience, order, prosperity and general welfare of the City to enact such an ordinance; and

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Center Point has divided the City into districts and has prepared regulations pertaining to each district and has held public hearings thereon; and

WHEREAS, all requirements as provided in the enabling statute have been met.

NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Center Point, Alabama, does ordain and enact into law the following Articles and Sections.
