Changes in plans approved as part of the planned unit development under this article may be permitted upon application by the petitioner or successors in title or interest, but only upon a finding that any such changes are in accord with all regulations in effect when the change is requested and the general intent and purpose of the comprehensive plan in effect at the time of the proposed change. Application for approval of such amendment shall be filed and acted upon in the same manner as prescribed in this article for original application for approval of planned unit development projects.
