ARTICLE 25

- EFFECTIVE DATE

Sec. 1. - [Generally.]

WHEREAS, on account of the congestion in the streets in the City of Devine and the danger from fire, panic and the undue concentration and congestion of population, and the lack of adequate ordinances and provisions controlling the construction and use of buildings and other structures within the City of Devine, the lack of regulations restricting and regulating the use to which lands and buildings of the City of Devine may be devoted, creates an urgency and emergency in behalf of the public peace, health, safety and general welfare, necessitating that this ordinance become effective immediately upon its passage, and publication.

Read, passed and adopted at meeting of the city commission held the 13th day of January, 1959.

1 2,500 sq. ft. of lot area shall be provided for each family unit per floor level.

2 Residential only. No restriction on commercial building lot areas.

3 Setback requirements apply.
