There shall be a rear yard having a depth of not less than twenty-five (25) feet except as otherwise provided in this Chapter.
On interior lots there shall be a side yard on each side of a building having a width of not less than ten (10) feet except as otherwise provided in this Chapter.
Corner lots shall be considered to have a front yard along both street frontages.
On lots having double frontage, the front yard shall be along the street providing the main entrance to the lot.
The Board of Aldermen may give consideration to allowing a side yard of not less than four (4) feet in those instances where a garage of a structure is opposite to the habitable area of a neighboring structure, or a garage is opposite to the garage of a neighboring structure. Such consideration may only be given to structures built prior to 1970 and shall be partially based on the extent to which the plat or subdivision in which the subject property is located is within the 100-year floodplain. The subject property must be posted with a public notice no less than fourteen (14) days prior to the date such is to receive Board of Aldermen consideration.
