The intent of this statute is to accommodate alternative and renewable forms of energy production within the Village, while regulating the visual impacts of any such form. Accessory wind turbines may be allowed as specified herein.

This article applies to all accessory wind turbines proposed to be constructed after the effective date of this article.

The fee for any accessory wind turbine application shall be the same as for a building permit.[1]

Wind turbines are permitted only in the R-1, C and H residential zones, in accord with the further requirements below.

Wind Turbines shall be permitted only upon the grant of a special exception permit from the Board of Trustees.
